You either buy it unlocked for $530 and forget the only rate plan or buy it subsidized at $180 with $79.99 per month rate plan. That’s the price of Nexus One, soon to be launched on January 5. Hailed as Droid killer while widely anticipated as iPhone killer, the phone is the best you can get on Android. Wait, we’ve just heard of something bigg coming up in mid-year known as the Mirage or the Shadow, from the Motorola. Well, that’s mid-year and any threat whatsoever is Mirage and no Shadow looms over the phone right now.

The phone will be available for order at google.com/phone when the time is right and you know when it will be. In case you decide to get it subsidized, canceling the plan within 120 days will cost you $350 additional, this being the difference between the aforesaid two options. Or you may simply choose to handover it back to Google. I don’t think anybody is gonna do the latter. Seriously. Wanna know more? You can purchase only 5 Nexus One (still one?) per Google account. Remind you that’s why the biggest search provider said, ‘Web meets Phone’. See the above picture.

image T-Mobile customers who want the beauty will have to adopt the aforesaid plan, regardless of their actual plan. Moreover, family plans, flexpay, SmartAccess and KidConnect schemes lose and single plan rate is mandatory to have subsidized the Web phone. Get going, Google!
